Who We Are

We are a diverse mix of passionate leaders from the corporate and animal welfare sector taking a strategic look at ending all forms of animal harm. With decades of experience in multinational corporations and the development sector, we believe that doing the most good means to minimise the suffering of the most vulnerable viz animals.

We are devoted to the cause of mainstreaming and elevating the animal protection movement in India. We work in collaboration with national and international sector experts and constituents to create impact.

Parag Agarwal

Founder

With over 30 years of experience in the corporate sector with Fortune 500 companies, Parag has been championing the cause of animal welfare amongst other social justice move-

ments.Currently, he is the CFO of Dr. Reddy’s Labs.He is also the Co-founder of the following: TAP India Foundation, which works for the cause of  underprivileged children;  Ahimsa VC, which is India’s first sustainable fund for plant-based foods and Ahimsa Trust, which works for animal and environment protection by driving more funding to causes related to animal welfare.

Jayasimha Nuggehalli

CO-FOUNDER

Jayasimha is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Global Food Partners. He has previously served as Managing Director of Humane Society International, India and was 

involved in the expansion of the organization in Asia.He is the Founding Director of the Animal Law Centre at NALSAR School University of Law, Hyderabad, a Former Member of the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and he was also a Visiting Fellow at the Animal Law & Policy Program at The Harvard Law School, 2019-2020.

Anand Siva

Board Member

After proving his mettle in advertising, data and analytics for three decades, Anand is now involved in building tech solutions in the e-com space.He’s a known name in the field 

of animal welfare, having led many campaigns to draw awareness and public support, and manages the non-profit PACE Trust (Protection of Animals and Conservation of Environment). He’s a firm believer in the concept for life without medicines and conducts corporate sessions to help boost health and productivity.

Sandeep Reddy

COO

Sandeep has over 18 years of sales and leadership experience in tech multinationals. In his last corporate role he headed India Sales for Akamai Technologies, a USD three 

billion tech firm based in Boston, USA. He is an Ahimsa Fellow and holds an advanced diploma in Animal Protection Laws from NALSAR University.

Sandeep has been an active member of the animal welfare movement in Bangalore for over a decade, focusing mainly on Animal Birth Control. His welfare work is driven by a sense of intersectional justice, and he believes that human and animal welfare go hand-in-hand.

Sandeep is an avid weekend cricketer and a proud cat dad.

Sarah Berry

DIRECTOR-OPERATIONS

Sarah brings with her 28 years of diverse professional experience in the domains of tourism, training, public diplomacy/advocacy, writing, communications and 

outreach.She hails from a multicultural background, and is fluent in 3 languages, including German. She is a Paul Harris fellow has been an animal lover and parent since almost three decades.Sarah has compiled some high-profile White Papers on Data for Public Health, Vaccine; Leveraging Technology for Grey and Blue-Collar Workers and MSMEs as Head – Communications, Centre for The Digital Future.  She has also designed a DVD for teachers teaching German, across levels A 1 – B 1 levels, and trained more than 7000 students on soft and life skills.  Besides spearheading the 60 years of celebration between India and Switzerland, Sarah has also spearheaded The Diplomatic Page for The Statesman.

Nidhi

Manager - Content and comms

In her childhood, Nidhi was (still is) a massive music buff who loved listening to radio and thus opted for Journalism & Mass Communication. It was during her graduation that she dis-

covered the ubiquitous necessity of internal and external communication and also explored different mediums during her graduation assignments.Her professional journey began in 2013, as a Communications Professional at Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). After understanding the basics and beyond, she worked as a Communications Officer at Milaan Foundation, Global March Against Child Labour and Pici Dale. She has experience in SRHR, Child Rights, Women’s Rights, Mental Health and Public Health. She has also done a certification course on Gender and Sexuality.

Currently pursuing a course in Dog Psychology and being a parent to 4 rescued dogs, she continues to educate pet parents and raise awareness on Animal Rights. Over the years, Nidhi has been there for dogs, cats, birds, cows and monkeys, by providing them food, addressing their medical needs and rescuing them from traumatic situations. A caretaker of 20 community dogs, all her locality dogs are neutered/ spayed and vaccinated against Rabies. 

Sandeep Sibal

Sandeep Sibal is on the board of Give India. He has also contributed to several non-profits that focus on human and animal welfare. He is also the co-founder and partner of 

Ahimsa VC – India’s first fund that supports startups that create alternatives to animal products.Sandeep is the CEO of Demolish Foods. Prior to Demolish Foods, he was country manager of Qualcomm for India & South Asia, a Technology Advisor at Reliance Infocomm, and a researcher at AT&T Bell Labs. He is also a co-inventor in 26 US patents and has been educated at IIT Madras, Rice University, Rensselaer Polytechnic University and MIT

Playing a landmark role in the foundation of Ahimsa Trust, he’s the Founder of People For Animals, Chennai (1995), a Fellow at Round Table India for 19 years, and an avid 

supporter of several women and child rights organizations. A successful businessman for many years, he is passionate about advancing the cause of mitigating climate change by aiding reduction in the production and consumption of resource intensive animal products.

Richa is an experienced Administrative Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit sector management industry. She is skilled in Educational

 Outreach, Report Writing, Conducting Workshops, Financial Accounting, and Delivering Workshops.

Heer

Sr. Lead - Retail Campaigns

Heer will spearhead Retail Campaigns and contribute to Content and Media as part of her portfolio. With a diverse professional background, 

she has a strong foundation of 17+ years of leading large teams and projects in the corporate sector. Additionally, she holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from KPMG, highlighting her proficiency in project management and leadership skills.
In her prior positions, she was responsible for achieving revenue targets, and P&L, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements, and leading initiatives in diverse areas. This included overseeing verticals such as Debt Recovery, Fraud Prevention, and Process Improvement, with a focus on Speech Analytics, Customer Service for Corporate Finance, and Risk forecasting for lending businesses.
Motivated by a passion for Animal Welfare, Heer is currently enrolled in a remote fellowship programme with the People for Animals Public Policy Foundation (PFA PPF). Simultaneously, she is pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Animal Welfare Laws from NALSAR University.
The decision to transition from a corporate career to the animal welfare movement is inspired by her commitment to contributing to the welfare of animals. She shares her home with nine rescued companions and a couple of farm animals including two chickens and a pig, serving as a daily motivation for this career shift.

Mandvi

Manager - Partnerships

Mandvi is working as a ‘Manager- Partnerships’ at IAF. She graduated from the National Law University Jodhpur in 2021. After graduation, she worked as a Law Officer at the Wildlife

Conservation Society-India, and later as a Policy Coordinator at the Coexistence Consortium. She has experience of working on wildlife crime research studies, human-elephant conflict mitigation strategies, and other law and policy related projects in wildlife conservation. In her most recent role as a Research Analyst, Mandvi supported parliamentary research and facilitated evidence-based policy solutions for parliamentarians at PRS Legislative Research.
Mandvi aims to contribute her skills to solving environmental problems in a just and conscientious way. She believes that social justice is incomplete without integrating the interests of animals in distribution of rights and resources. Beyond her professional pursuits, Mandvi likes playing table tennis. Additionally, she enjoys experimenting with new food recipes in her leisure time.
